Kinshasa's ghettos are filled with extreme poverty but also with incredible musical talent. French directors Renaud Barret and Florent de la Tullaye's film Jupiter's Dance (now available on Netflix!) digs deep: the current music scene in the Congo's most populous city is explored, warts and all, in a refreshingly objective fashion. "Kin's" music and musicians speak for themselves, explaining their struggles, triumphs and dreams in modern day, urban Africa. Highly recommended for all world music lovers.
