BOOM! is an 8-week fitness program and total embrace of Rhythm. BOOM!
is equal parts dance and drum party, spiritual release, mid-impact
aerobic workout, revival meeting, sweat-fest, and community Carnaval.
You will be dancing, stretching, hollering, beating a drum and sharing
your dreams!

What is BHANGRA?
Bhangra is a lively form of music and dance that originated in the Punjab region in Southeast Asia. Bhangra began as a country dance to celebrate harvest festivals. It eventually became a part of diverse occasions such as
weddings and New Year celebrations. During the last thirty years, Bhangra has enjoyed a surge in popularity worldwide, both in traditional form and as a fusion with genres such as hip
hop, house, and reggae.
One of the best aspects of Bhangra dance is that ANYONE can do it. It's extremely accessible, ridiculously fun and wonderfully expressive. I dare you: just TRY not to smile when you are dancing Bhangra!

No prior experience is needed and all drums are provided.

In this comprehensive, 10-week course, you will learn everything needed to get started as a hand-drummer: basic playing technique, building blocks of rhythm: downbeats, upbeats, syncopation, rhythms from Africa, Brazil, Trinidad and the USA.
