Podcast courtesy of Love2drum.com: (More than you may ever want to know about Robert Wallace!)
Over the summer I had the good fortune of meeting Higgy Vasquez, a talented Los Angeles-based drummer, and we shared ideas on the power of rhythm and percussion. Higgy runs an interesting and useful community drumming site called Love2Drum.com, and is active in the drum circle scene in his area.
Higgy was kind enough to record our conversation and has skillfully turned it into an interesting and informative podcast. If you'd like to learn more about me, how I got started in rhythm, my training, my goals, my "rhythm philosopy", etc..., here you go!: Podcast with Robert and Higgy at Love2drum.com
Thank you Higgy and keep up your good work! I hope to see you soon.

"Sonic Mirror" A new percussion film with Billy Cobham, Male Debale, Okuta Percussion, Swiss Mix
"Sonic Mirror", a new film by Mika Kourismaki (Moro No Brazil, Brasieirinho), follows legendary jazz-fusion drummer Billy Cobham (Miles Davis, Mahavishnu Orchestra) as he unites the wide world of rhythm: From percussive Brazilian kids to autistic adults in Switzerland to in-the-know Finnish jazz aficionados, and then back to Cobham's West African musical roots.
Jazz rhythms (and their sources) are the basis of a universal language in this exciting musical documentary.
Watch the Sonic Mirror Trailer
Listen to some of Billy Cobhams' Inspiring Words About Making Music.
Good News! Sonic Mirror is playing in Nor. Cal. on Friday, Oct. 10 and Sat. Oct. 11 as part of the Mill Valley Film Festival! Sonic Mirror at Mill Valley Film Fest
