                                 Due to a contribution made to a candidate for a School Board Election on April 3rd, State law requires an 8 day before election report to be filed.

The initial map for the state senate was released on Feb 23rd. Since that time our fundraising efforts have met our quarter goal of $40k a week ahead of schedule. The campaign currently has $51,735 on hand as of this report.

Former State Representative John Burnett Endorses Holsman for Senate and will serve as General Counsel for the Campaign

Former Kansas City State Representative John Burnett, who was contemplating a run for the 7th District seat, announced today his support for Representative Jason Holsman.

The former Representative served on both the Labor and Judiciary Committees for 8 years in the Missouri House of Representatives and will now be General Counsel for the Holsman for Senate campaign.

 

"I worked with Jason for 4 years." said Burnett, "I watched him grow and mature as a person and a professional legislator. He's a hard worker and takes the time to learn the issues. When I decided not to run, I felt Holsman would make the best Senator for Kansas City. I'm happy to lend my effort to his victory."

Holsman for Senate Hires Field Staff

Our campaign has been fortunate to attract some incredibly talented individuals to join this effort. While the team will continue to grow, this core group will serve as campaign ambassadors across the district. Their primary responsibility   will be to organize and lead volunteers in a robust field operation.

 

Zac Sweets Zac Sweets - University of Missouri student studying political science, Zac was President of the Student Body at Belton HS and elected Governor of Boys State in 2010.

Ben White - A sophomore at Tulane University studying Philosophy Ben has  worked on campaigns in Iowa for the 2008 Democratic Presidential Primary. Ben graduated from Hyman Brand Hebrew School and is currently is a radio host on WTUL in New Orleans.     

 

Klassie Alcine Klassie Alcine - Board Member for the Greater Kansas City Women's Political Caucus and works with homeless teens and families in crisis as a Youth Advocate. Klassie received her B.A in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from UMKC.

 

 

 

  

Caleb Files Caleb Michael Files - A UMKC student studying political science, Caleb serves as the campaign coordinator for the UMKC Young Democrats and was named by  pitch weekly as one of KC's top Activists for Equality in 2011.

Jess Carey - A UCM graduate in physical training, Jess is a professional photographer.  Her primary political experience is working on behalf of rescued animals.

 

 

 

  

 

Me Again Chris Vick - A Truman State student majoring in English, Chris currently interns for Representative Holsman in Jefferson City. Chris is dedicated to the advancement of civil rights and equality.

English, Copeland has interned for both Representative Holsman and the House Democratic Campaign Committee working in the field of political statistics.
