SVL SUPER WALMART PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING
NOVEMBER 9, 2011
Walmart's proposed Spring Valley Lake Superstore project known as Tamarisk Market Place (TMP) will go before the Victorville Planning Commission on November 9th at 5PM at City Hall. Walmart is requesting approval of the project plans, zone change request and City general plan amendment to allow 24/7 commercial operation. The purpose of this meeting will be to vote on a recommendation to be given to the City Council who will then make a final decision on the project at the December 6 - 7PM City Council meeting.
This is the final battle in the approval process for the Tamarisk Market Place Super Walmart. If we want to have any chance of stopping this project, we must all attend both the November 9 Planning Commission Meeting and the December 6 City Council Meeting to show our opposition. If we fail to produce a good showing at either of these two meetings, the project will almost surely be approved.
Please put both these dates on your calendar as a "must attend" date.
Nov 9 - 5PM @ City Hall - Planning Commission Recommendation Vote
Dec 6 - 7PM @ City Hall - City Council Final Approval
