Public Safety Bulletin
July 6, 2011
On Saturday, June 4th a man attempted to abduct a 6-year old girl from the Women's restroom at Spring Valley Lake's west beach. The man is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with shoulder-length hair and a goatee, according to witnesses at the beach. The man was last seen driving away in a red or maroon Toyota Tundra-type vehicle.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Detective Michele Brand or Deputy Will Fifita of San Bernardino County Sherriff's Department at (760) 552-6800 or call WE TIP at (800) 78-CRIME.
Now that the weather is warming up and more people are attending some of the many events at our beach and parks, we urge everyone to exercise caution when allowing their children to walk any distance away from them. Even though we are staffing the beach with lifeguards and Public Safety Officers, it is important for parents and guardians to keep an eye on their children.
