SPECIAL ALERT - SEVERE WEATHER - FLOOD POTENTIAL

DECEMBER 20, 2010

The Association and the San Bernardino County Fire Department have begun to prepare for the potential of significant rain and flood conditions. Two thousand sandbags and truck loads of sand will be delivered to the Community Building today, Monday, December 20, 2010 for resident usage to prepare your homes for the potential floods. The forecast indicates that significant rain (2-4 inches) is possible, between today and Wednesday night. The City of Victorville has responded to our request to sandbag the developments on the west side of Ridgecrest Road in an attempt to lessen the runoff that would impact our community.

Our fire station #22 will have extra staffing and supplies and we will maintain communication with Fire Chief's, Carleton and Sipe, in order to manage our mutual response in the event of flood conditions.

Delivery of the sand and sandbags is expected this afternoon, please watch for further announcements.
