The Dead Fish Appear to be Crappie On Tuesday, August 17, we began receiving phone calls regarding dead or dying bass and bluegill. Upon further investigation by operations staff and an inspection of the lake, staff has determined they were juvenile white crappie. Approximately one hundred fish, all about the same size (3-4 inches) have been collected at this point. The fish appear to be otherwise healthy as they showed no signs of disease or physical signs of trauma. The eyes were clear, and the fins and scales looked normal. We have contacted the Department of Fish and Game and we are waiting for their response. In the meantime, we will continue our investigation, and research and report our findings to the members in the very near future. Respectfully, Richard Arglen Operations Manager
