To Association Members:

The President of the Association, Kirt Mahlum has requested that the Budget Committee cancel their closed session training workshop that was scheduled for Thursday, July 29th at 4:00PM.  The Davis Sterling Act clearly states that committees (other than rule making committees, i.e. Architectural) are exempt from the Open Meeting Act and may hold closed sessions. The Board, having committed to the membership of complete transparency, feels that having a closed session may send the wrong message, even though the purpose was proper and legal.
