NO BOATING PLEASE
Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11 |
To All Spring Valley Lake Members:

As you may have noticed we have begun our chemical treatment of the lake for phosphorus and suspended solids. The goal is to achieve enough clarity so plants can begin to grow and filter nutrients.
In order for our mission to be completed safely, we ask all boating members to please stay off the lake Monday, June 7 through Friday, June 11. Our crews are piloting extremely heavy loads and wake action of the boats could cause them to capsize. We are using aluminum sulphate, a chemical used to treat drinking water, but it will not harm humans or any of our fish or plants. We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it will be worth it! Richard Arglen Operations Manager Spring Valley Lake Association 760-245-9756, Ext. 104 |
