LAKE CLOSURE REMINDER
In the event you did not receive the E Blast that was sent out on Tuesday May 18th, we would like to remind all members that the lake will be closed to ALL boating until Monday May 24th.
The reason for the closure is for the safety of the SVLA Staff conducting the lake treatment. The boats are very heavy and could easily capsize from the wake of other boats.
The lake is open for swimming and shore fishing in designated areas as usual. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. |

Are You Prepared for "Disaster"?
I would like to take a minute to thank those of you who participated in our disaster preparedness presentations this month. Some valuable information was exchanged.
My goal for the Spring Valley Lake Association is to help prepare this community for the impacts of emergencies and disasters; to be able to coordinate and effectively communicate essential information to the community and; to produce effective planning measures for disaster preparedness.
Through my contacts at the county level, I am able to gather and distribute accurate information in a timely manner through our website, and E-blasts. In the event something of a catastrophic nature does occur, the higher the probability that our means of communication will be limited and other means of disseminating information will be needed.
If you are interested in becoming part of the Spring Valley Lake Disaster Preparedness Task Force, contact me at mblehr@svla.com, or call the Association Office at 760-245-9756.

Director of Community Services & Disaster Preparedness
