Twenty-nine residents of Spring Valley Lake have reported having one or more tires slashed on their vehicles sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, April 5, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials. The damages took place on several streets throughout the community.
According to Staff reporters of VVDailyPress.com, the Victor Valley Sheriff's station is asking the community for assistance in finding the unknown criminals who committed the vandalism in Spring Valley Lake.
In a related incident reported by Inland News Today on April 6, 2010, Palm Springs, California police would like to get their hands on the vandals who roamed through four neighborhoods slashing tires of at least thirty parked vehicles during the same time frame. Damage is in the thousands of dollars for both incidents.
If someone has any information regarding the crimes, they are asked to call Deputy Candalario Sahagun or Deputy Guiterrez at (760) 246-1000. Persons wishing to remain anonymous may call WE TIP at (800) 78-CRIME.
If this incident isn't an example of how surveillance cameras placed at strategic exit points could help us identify all vehicles entering and leaving our community, during the time frame that these crimes occurred, What is?
