Public Safety News
This article is for our SVLA kids and their parents. I would like to remind all our residents and their guests that we have recreational equipment available at the Public Safety Dispatch Office on Rolling Ridge. To check out a basketball, horseshoes, bocce ball, football or soccer ball, just bring in your SVLA ID card. The Dispatcher will verify your card and you can enjoy using the equipment with your guests at Meadowlark Park. This is a free service that we implemented last year. It has been very successful in keeping our kids off the streets and where we can keep an eye out for their safety. We hope this will encourage you to take advantage of one of the many great amenities that Spring Valley Lake has to offer to all members.
We also have a lost and found department at Public Safety. If you find an item anywhere in Spring Valley Lake, please turn it in to your Public Safety Dispatcher and it will be logged in as to where and when it was found, as well as all pertinent information in hopes of finding its rightful owner. If you lost a cell phone or wallet etc. please call Public Safety Dispatch at: 760-245-6400 and describe your lost item. Someone might have already turned it in. If not, we will call you if someone does turn your lost item in to our office.
If you have any questions whatsoever, please remember we are here to serve you 24 hours a day 7 days a week. -Captain George Rodrigo |

COMMUNICIATIONS COMMITTEE NEWS
Welcome to the first quarterly edition of the Spring Valley Lake Breeze!
The Breeze will no longer arrive monthly. March 2010 will be the first quarter issue followed by issues in June, September and December. This is an exciting change!
We will also have a wonderful new addition to our continuing effort to improve communications which has resulted from negotiations with the publisher of Shopper News. Beginning in April, production of a monthly newspaper for Spring Valley Lake will begin! And the best part is that this new publication, known as "Shootin' The Breeze", will not cost the Association for printing and distribution!
"Shootin' The Breeze" will be delivered to your SVL Box monthly. For those of you who live on the Equestrian side and have the town of Apple Valley as your postal service, or if you live outside of the development, a newsstand will be located at the EQ and Association Office for your convenience. The Association will be seeking input in the form of articles, photos, and content in general. Association Members will also be given an open opportunity to make their voice heard in the form of monthly "Letters to the Editor" column. We look forward to this new form of communication and sincerely hope that it will serve as a tool to reflect the positive changes that are taking place in our community.
We encourage everyone to take an active role by providing content for the quarterly edition of The Breeze, Shootin' The Breeze and The E Breeze. Please submit your articles, special interest stories, upcoming events/activities, and any suggestions for future enhancements. For further information, contact Maria Punsal at 760-245-9756 or via email at: mpunsal@svla.com. It is our sincere hope that these exciting changes will provide our Association members with an enhanced communications network. Information will be shared in a more timely fashion, and be easily accessible to all members of the Association. | |
