FingerThe Deadline is Approaching!

The annual election for the Board of Directors is just around the corner. Property owners will have the opportunity to elect four (4) directors to serve a two (2) year term. Your Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association and is responsible for setting policies, standards and programs. They approve the annual budget and set the rate of the Association's yearly assessments. The seats up for election are currently held by Ken Bodle, Kirt Mahlum, Ernie Martell and Jeff Morgan.

Any property owner, in good standing, who would like to "throw their hats in the ring" are invited to complete the Notice of Intent to Run form and return it to the Association Office at 13325 Spring Valley Parkway or SVL Box 7001, Spring Valley Lake, CA 92395, along with a resume of qualifications, goals and objectives. Deadline for filing is 4 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2010. The form can also be found online at www.svla.com under THE BOARD. Click on the Election 2010 tab.

CODE ENFORCEMENT

MeganEffective Monday February 1st, Code Enforcement will be under the direction of the Community Services department and moving back to the Association office on Spring Valley Parkway. Please welcome Stacy Jones and Paul Beam to the Code Enforcement positions. Stacy will take on the position full-time, while Paul will continue as the Recreation Coordinator, as well as Code Enforcement part-time. Please direct any of your Code Enforcement concerns to the Association office or call 760-245-3179.

The Association office will be open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The 2nd quarter assessment billing statements will be mailed out in January. The 2nd quarter assessment payment of $232.25 will be due on February 1, 2010. Any payments received after February 15 will be considered late.
