Vocational Rehabilitation Services Projects for American Indians with Disabilities -

Funds Available: Up to $365,000 - $740,000 per year for up to 5 years          DEADLINE: June 7, 2011                                                      

Available to federally recognized Native American tribal governments, and consortia thereof. To provide vocational rehabilitation (VR) services to American Indians with disabilities.  Outreach services to include life skills areas such as occupational foundation, ready to work options (self-employment, business ownership, and telecommuting).

 

Rural Health Information Technology Network Development Program 

Funds Available: Up to $900,000 for your agency                                             DEADLINE: May 27, 2011

Available to Tribal governments, 501c3 nonprofit organizations (except institutions of higher education). Programs are to include: improving health care quality, safety, health management for patients and families, care coordination, health information privacy & security. 

Area Health Education Centers Infrastructure Development & Point of Service Maintenance and Enhancement

Funds Available: Up to $250,000                                                                          DEADLINE: June 10, 2011                                                                          

Available to public or nonprofit private accredited schools of allopathic medicine and osteopathic medicine and incorporated consortia made up of such schools, or the parent institutions of such schools. To initiate health care workforce educational programs, planning and development, operating and evaluating an AHEC program. 

 

Services Grant Program for Residential Treatment for Pregnant and Postpartum Women

Funds Available: Up to $524,000 per year for 3 years                                                        DEADLINE: June 7, 2011                                                                         

Available to state and local governments, tribal entities, public or private institutions of higher education, and community- and faith-based organizations.  To expand services in residential substance abuse treatment, prevention, and recovery support services for pregnant and postpartum women. Eligible projects include development services, counseling, education, and treatment.

 

Strategic Prevention Framework State Prevention Enhancement Grants

Funds Available: Up to 600,000 for 1 year                                                             DEADLINE: June 3, 2011                                                                                    

Available to states, territories, the District of Columbia, and tribal entities.  To utilize for improvement, prevention, community-based care, strategic planning, development, and substance abuse prevention.

 

Asthma Interventions in Public & Assisted Multifamily Housing

Funds Available: Up to $300,000 for 3 years                                                                       DEADLINE: June 9, 2011

Available to academic, not-for-profit and for-profit institutions located in the U.S., state and units of general local government, and federally recognized Native American tribes. To utilize for healthy home initiative, implementation, development, prevention, and education.

 

Community Diabetes Projects - Texas Diabetes

Funds Available: Up to $960,000 available in total program funding                           DEADLINE: May 23, 2011

Available to county, municipality, public health district, or other political subdivision, including academic institutions or hospital districts, for profit or local 501c3 nonprofit organizations in Texas. To initiate community-based diabetes prevention program, implementation, and development.  Funding is also eligible to purchase supplies & materials, equipment (computers, software, health education related material, etc...), travel, and professional development.

 

Grants to Expand Care Coordination through the Use of Health Information Technology (HIT) in Targeted Areas of Need

Funds Available: Up to$280,000 per year for 3 years                                                  DEADLINE:  June 13, 2011 Available to domestic public and private nonprofit entities.  Receive funding for technology equipment recovery support.  Eligible to purchase e-therapy tools related to health records (computer equipment such as web-based application, smart phones, behavioral health e-apps, etc...)
