 Greetings!

Give us thankful hearts ... in this the season of Thy Thanksgiving. May we be thankful for health and strength, for sun and rain and peace. Let us seize the day and the opportunity and strive for that greatness of spirit that measures life not by its disappointments but by its possibilities, and let us ever remember that true gratitude and appreciation shows itself neither in independence nor satisfaction, but passes the gift joyfully on in larger and better form.
~W.E.B. Du Bois, the tireless civil rights leader and author.

Fall, beautiful abundant fall!

As we enter the frenzy of activities that surround the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving and the winter holidays.  Let us find the time to set aside or burn off any negativity towards ourselves and others, to be thankful for the simple abundances that have come our way, and to rejoice in the beauty of our relationships.

We are honored to have so many amazing and talented teachers here at Easton Yoga to offer wonderful classes to provide a sort of sanctuary a place to re-new our physical and psychic energies, to be playful and to open our hearts! NAMASTE!

Mantra Monday is coming...
Get prepared & inspired and Join us at 7pm  on November 4th for Kathleen's Mantra Mudra & Meditation. Learn about what the mantra means to our favorite Kirtan singer from  NOLA, Sean Johnson an listen to a great story read & sung by Krishna Das  on the yogamates.com website! Lotus Mudra

Global Mala logoThe symbol of the lotus in the hand comes from the Goddess Lakshmi (the Goddess of Abundance) who holds  in one of her many hands the lotus flower.  In both Buddhism and Hinduism, as well as many areas of Eastern philosophy, the lotus is said to represent the power of transformation. In nature the lotus flower blooms from a muddy root living under water into a flower of beauty....(more on this months focus on the Website)

Keep the image of the lotus flower in your minds-eye as you practice yoga, meditate , or chant a mantra and bring it to mind when you find yourself thinking negatively or feeling stressed.  The image of the lotus in your hand can serve as your visual mantra reminding you that you have the ability to invite abundance and bliss into your life.
