As the seasons transition from cold and wet to warm and dry our bodies, minds and spirits also go through transition and change. If we are not prepared for this change, the shift in seasons can cause imbalance; creating problems in the body, mind and/or spirit. Learning the principles of Ayurveda can help you find balance so you may embrace summer fully and enjoy it optimally. In this workshop we will learn about our personal Doshas (constitutional type) and what Yoga postures, foods, daily cleansing routines, meditation, mantra, pranayama and life approach can be used to obtain balance and well being. The workshop includes lessons about Ayurveda, self tests, mantra, meditation and a tri-doshic yoga flow; each week focusing on a specific topic.

All postures will be taught with modifications to make accessible to those with injuries and limitations. Segment 1: Foundations
Building the Temple

[please email me (alicia@eastonyoga.com) to be added to our Teacher Training information email list. Full information packets will be available in July]

Delware Water GapI returned this week from a one week training with Max Strom in Washington DC.  Just when I think I've learned so much in my 7 years of yoga, I am humbled & blessed to realize I'm still just beginning my journey.  Max's insight into the true practice of yoga as a connection into the whole body and not a contortion of the physical body is profound.

I am pleased to announce that we will begin to host Max for a series of Teacher Training in 2009.  completion of all 4 segments is accredited with The Yoga alliance 200RYT certification.

Max's Teacher Trainings are open to students with a regular yoga practice who want to deepen their understating of the holistic practice of Hatha Vinyasa Flow and pranayama.  Whether you wish to deepen you practice or continue through all 4 segments his training is of immense value. I you are already a teach and wish to gain further insight into Max's yoga philosophy I guarantee you'll deepen your understanding of the practice! And since it is so close to home, no travel fees!
