Greetings!

The winter solstice arrives. The long nights of this season and the upcoming change of the calendar year provide us all with a chance to take stock.  We can look back, look forward, re-vision and re-create ourselves.  New energy from this process shines as light in the darkness.

In this issue of The View Peggy reports on the Reiki retreat she co-facilitated in November, and she announces plans for another retreat in April.  Bob shares some ideas on Mojo from the workshop he attended with Marshall Goldsmith.  Each article deals with different but related forms of energy in our lives.

We wish you and your loved ones all the blessings of this  season of light.

Yours in new beginnings,
Peggy and Bob MacArthur

Reiki Retreat Rocks

In November Leslie Jose and I offered our first 3-day Reiki Retreat at the beautiful Dragonfly Yoga Barn in North Sandwich, NH.  We were blessed with wonderful participants and a crisp sunny Fall weekend.

In addition to training in two levels of Reiki, we sang, danced, practiced yoga and played.  We took silent walks in the beautiful woods surrounding the site.  We spent time writing in our journals and relaxing in the spa.  The delicious food and fellowship of our meals added another special dimension to the retreat.

What is Reiki?

For those who are new to Reiki, the following explanation may be helpful.   Reiki can be defined as spiritually guided life energy.

Got Your Mojo On?

Bob MacArthur

When was the last time you felt your energy flowing unfettered from the inside out -- when you were fully expressing your gifts, applying your talents and having fun doing it?  Marshall Goldsmith describes that experience as Mojo -- very simply, loving what you do and showing it.

The New Year brings a great opportunity to check in on how your energy is flowing.  A helpful guide is Marshall's latest book, Mojo: How to Get It, How to Keep It, How to Get It Back If You Lose It.

Goldsmith is an executive coach renowned for his work with CEOs of some of the world's largest companies.  His mission is to help successful people achieve positive, lasting change in behavior.  If they don't change, he doesn't get paid.  He gets paid very well.

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to spend a day with Marshall in San Diego with a small group of colleagues.  I came away from our workshop with several ways to improve my coaching and to develop my Mojo.  Here are four ideas to ramp up your Mojo.
