Greetings!

We are excited to highlight the work of our friend and colleague, Melisa Pearce, who has just published her first book, Eponalisa: The Fall Ride.  Equine advocate and facilitator, entrepreneur, coach, therapist and healer, Melisa brings vibrant energy and intuitive wisdom to her work with a variety of clients.

Follow the links in The View to Melisa's book, her daily wisdom messages and her 52 card deck of inspirational paintings and meditations.

Also in this issue we resume our look at Marian Head's Revolutionary Agreements, and we turn to a familiar fairy tale to illustrate Agreement #7: I agree to resolve conflicts directly.
Yours in new beginnings,

Peggy and Bob MacArthur

The Fantastic Journey of Eponalisa

  Peggy MacArthur

When we enter into their fantasy worlds, fairies and princesses awaken in us a yearning to be transformed.  Their stories unveil possibilities that are ours when we believe and choose to act on their lessons.

Curled up on a cozy sofa two years ago, Melisa Pearce asked if she could share with me the first chapters of a book that was writing itself through her.  She had no intended outcome except to honor that voice.

She began reading about the little girl, Lisa, who becomes a fairy and who with her horse embarks on a delightful and fantastic journey.  The recent publication of Eponalisa: The Fall Ride completes the opening piece of this intuitive writing.  It is the first book in a series of inspiring stories that speak to our Being-in-the-Universe.

The Pea under the Mattresses:
Claiming our Conflicts

Bob MacArthur

How do you deal with conflict?  Do you meet it head on?  Do you bury it inside, hoping it will disappear?  Do you put it off until it escalates to a flashpoint?  Do you embrace conflict as an opportunity to affirm your core values?

Marian Head and her husband Glenn lived in a housing cooperative for several years.  Together with her fellow housemates and community members Marian developed 12 Agreements that guided their interactions.  Managing their differences was an important dynamic as seen in the 7th Agreement - I agree to resolve conflicts directly. The Princess and the Pea

A familiar fairy tale reminds us of two ways to manage conflicts effectively at home and at work  --  discerning the problem and dealing with it directly.
