| Dish Soap you can Make? |
|
As resourceful as I may be, I have to give my husband credit for this one. We ran out of our Seventh Generation dish soap one day and no one felt like going to the store. My husband asked, "Don't you have a book with recipes to make that kind of stuff?". "Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah I said"
And so .. 5 minutes later we had a full bottle of homemade lavender dish soap!
1 ounce liquid castille soap - I used Dr. Bronner's.
2 cups water
1 teaspoon vegetable glyerin (buy it at health food stores)
You can also use lemon or lemongrass -oooooh smells so good!
Combine the castille soap and water in a jar. Add the vegetable glycerin and essential oil. Stir to blend.
Pour on a sponge or add to dish water.

| Ordering Essential Oils |
|
I have seen a surge of interest in essential oils lately, as people are looking for NATURAL remedies and natural products to use in their homes, on their skin etc.
If you would like to "TRY" an essential oil, or are interested in learning more about the many uses - please feel free to contact me. I offer PRIVATE consultations on essential oils at NO CHARGE, by phone or in person and I also provide in home classes for groups of 6 or more.
The next class at my office is scheduled for Saturday, March 20th!
Learning about essential oils is like equipping yourself with some of the best of Great Grandma's secrets! They are natural (aka green), they promote healing, and they smell wonderful.
I never leave home without them - but sometimes I do leave without my Amex. :-)

| Greetings! |

I love GREEN!
Maybe it has to do with being half leprechaun, but I have to believe that even if I were 100% italian I would still love GREEN.
From the green daffodil leaves starting to pop up to the tantalizing green smoothies that are calling me .. Spring surrounds me with my favorite, energizing color!
This month, in honor of my leprechaun friends I am sharing some GREEN Health Tips.
For me .. being "green" doesn't just mean environmentally conscious - it means:
--- projecting a "green" or youthful attitude toward life
--- connecting with the green in nature
--- growing .. allowing the real YOU to sprout forth
So .. even if you aren't ready to commit to the typical definition of "going green", perhaps you can embrace one or more of the tips I share.
Enjoy!

1. Spring Cleansing
We eat a lot of heavy, comforting foods in the winter - which can be ok .. to an extent. But in the Spring, our bodies want to shed that extra heaviness and clear out the build up from starchy, clogging foods - to allow us to be light and full of the energy that Spring and Summer will want from us. Gentle cleansing is a great way to allow your body the chance to do it's Spring Cleaning - restoring the efficiency of your digestion, clearing out toxins, rejuvenating your energy and so much more. Eating more dark leafy GREENS is fabulous for cleansing since they help to purify the blood and to remove heavy metals like mercury. For more info on cleansing or to have a custom cleanse designed for YOU, click here to contact me.
2. Upgrade Your Cleaning Products
Have you read the labels on the "stuff" under your sink lately? Can you pronounce all of the ingredients? Many people don't realize that they are putting toxins into the air, their lungs, their skin, furniture (keep going) .. every time they spray something. I use essential oils for most of my cleaning because they are naturally anti-bacterial and naturally smell great. Check out the side bar for a simple recipe to make your own dish soap or join me for my next class on "Making Your Own Green Cleaners" later this month. If you suffer from allergies, asthma, skin issues or any respiratory problems - don't delay-- these simple changes could be amazing for you.
3. Go WHOLE
There is one solution that works incredibly well to address both our environmental concerns AND our health concerns. That solution .. is moving toward a WHOLE FOODS diet. Whole foods - that are eaten in their natural state do not come with packaging, and do not need the processing that creates much of our excess waste material and environmental toxins. When you buy foods - try to buy LESS in packages .. and you will be helping your HEALTH and your ENVIRONMENT all at once. EVEN BETTER---- plant a garden for your family this Spring and then you don't even have to "bag" your produce!
Stay tuned for an EXCITING class on Creating Nutrient Rich Soil naturally - so you can have a fruitful garden!
