Texas Go Vegan Week is an Annual Celebration of Vegan Living!
In 2006, our organization created the Texas Veggin'-out Days campaign to support our vegan & vegetarian establishments in Texas, and to bring recognition to
In 2011, our campaign expanded to a week-long celebration and education campaign promoting vegan living called "TEXAS GO VEGAN WEEK". Our campaign kicks-off the start of Vegetarian Awareness Month.
This year, our TEXAS GO VEGAN WEEK is October 1-7, 2012!

Have you heard about our Monthly Vegan Meetings?
Held in Houston on the 2nd Saturday of every month, our friendly and informative vegan gatherings are a great way to stay involved and meet others in the vegan community! 
Each month features different discussion topics and films related to ethical vegan living, abolitionist animal rights, environmental responsibility, vegan nutrition, world hunger, nonviolence and more.  All ages are welcome! Remember to bring a 100% vegan or raw vegan dish to share. RSVP is appreciated! *The monthly "after-party" Social Mixer will be announced at the potluck for those who wish to continue the fun after the event.

There's a lot happening this week, including dinners, brunches, lunches, potlucks, happy hour mixers, a vegan bake sale, a Houston film debut and a vegan foods class! Plus, discounts from participating vegan food vendors. Did you know that Houston was recently ranked as the "4th Most Veg-friendly City", and three Texas cities made the Top Ten list? Our Next Vegan Bake Sale Fundraiser is Saturday, October 6!
during our October 6 Film Screening Event. Our goal is to raise enough funds to cover the costs of the theater rental and to help us produce and print our own vegan starter guides.
