Our 2nd Annual VegFest Houston is on June 9, 2012 -- less than one month away! We are so excited to present "The Premier Vegan Festival of Texas" again this year!  

Remember to join us tonight, May 12, 2012, at our Vegan Society of PEACE "2nd Saturdays" monthly gathering for a special sneak peak at all the fun and fabulous features of this year's festival.   

Our monthly vegan gatherings are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Havens Center in Houston (except in June, due to VegFest). These popular, well-attended events include a vegan potluck and discussion along with video, speakers, door prizes and more!  

For our event tonight, attendees will get to see a special preview of VegFest Houston 2012 and hear about our upcoming vegan bake sale fundraiser to benefit VegFest Houston.   

At our 2nd Saturdays events, we feature a new discussion topic each month focusing on animal rights, ethical vegan living, vegan health & nutrition, cooking, world hunger solutions, eco-friendly living and nonviolence. For May, our discussion topic will be animal rights and "honoring the mothers of all species" for Mother's Day. Our food theme this month is "Crazy about Quinoa". We'll also have some of our new VegFest Houston bumper stickers to give away.
