Greetings!
You are cordially invited to join us for our Annual Vegan Society of PEACE "Gentle Thanksgiving" Event and fundraiser on Saturday, November 19, 2011. We've reserved Pecore Hall in Houston again this year to accommodate a large number of attendees. You won't want to miss our delicious vegan feast!
Our popular event will feature Houston area caterers, including chef Staci Davis of Radical Eats, chef Brittany Dylan-Carnes of Sinfull Bakery and chef Vicki Kennedy of Vicki Lea's Vegan. A raw vegan plate option is also available from chef Xaviere Harper of Jicko Foods, but must be requested in advance.
We have great door prizes, including goodies from Sinfull Bakery, a gourmet basket from Vicki Lea's Vegan, a gift subscription and bag from VegNews, vegan books, eco-friendly kitchen items, Pacifica vegan body balms, games and much more! In addition, there will be free Veg Starter Guides and coupons from WayFare Foods and other vegan companies. As part of our annual tradition, there will be presentations and a slide show of VSOP highlights from the year. If you have pictures of VegFest Houston 2011, please send them our way for inclusion. New this year is our mini "Vegan Marketplace", where you can purchase take-home pies, Radical Eats' tamales, cookie dough and other goodies from our event caterers. Copies of My Sweet Vegan and our newest Vegan Society of PEACE t-shirt designs will be at our fundraising table. Plus, we'll have a small, indoor play area for younger children. Ticket prices include the vegan feast and one door prize entry per person. For our catered event, we require that you purchase your tickets in advance.
