TEXAS GO VEGAN WEEK is officially here! A huge thanks to everyone who helped us kick-off our campaign this past weekend!
This has evolved quite a bit over the past few years. In 2006, our organization created a campaign called "Texas Veggin'-out Days" to support our vegan & vegetarian establishments in Texas and to bring recognition to World Vegetarian Day (October 1) and World Farm Animals Day (October 2). The campaign was recognized by the North American Vegetarian Society in 2007, when we were awarded "Most Notable Outreach by a Group".
We are pleased to announce in 2011 our campaign has expanded to a week-long celebration called "TEXAS GO VEGAN WEEK". This also kicks-off the start of Vegetarian Awareness Month and runs from OCTOBER 1 - 8, 2011.  Last year, participating vendors offered some great incentive discounts to those who used our coupons! This year, you'll only need to download and print one reusable coupon (or show your phone display) to receive special discounts from participating vendors during TEXAS GO VEGAN WEEK 2011. We even have the latest QR code technology, so you can scan the code above to your phone to save paper!
Please remember to support all veggie restaurants in Texas this week and help this campaign grow! It's a great time to introduce your not-yet-veg friends to delicious vegan cuisine!
