Dear  :

Tonight, CNN will air an unprecedented, one-hour show devoted entirely to animal rights issues! Tune in to the CNN Headline News Network for "Issues", hosted by veteran television news journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell, which airs at 6pm CT, 7pm ET. Be sure to check local listings for viewing in your time zone.

Emmy Award-winning host Jane Velez-Mitchell was the keynote speaker at the 2009 National Animal Rights Conference in Los Angeles. As an ethical vegan, she has been an outspoken advocate of animal rights on several episodes of CNN's "Issues". According to CNN, her special investigative report, "Jane's Fight for Animal Rights", will feature the following:

  • The disaster in the Gulf and it's impact on animals
  • A national movement to give factory farm animals basic protections against cruelty
  • A look at the government's round up of wild horses
  • An update on an effort to fight a monkey breeding farm in Puerto Rico
  • Interviews with Bob Barker, Pierce Brosnan and Jorja Fox of CSI
Jane will also interview representatives from the following national animal protection organizations: Farm Sanctuary, Sea Shepherd, In Defense of Animals, The Cloud Foundation, PETA, HSUS and Mercy For Animals.

We hope you'll encourage others to tune in tonight for this extraordinary, one-hour report on animal rights issues! Please also take the time to thank CNN Headline News Network for airing such an important investigative report, which will undoubtedly educate millions of television viewers this evening. We applaud the courageous, investigative work of Jane Velez-Mitchell and look forward to her continued coverage of animal rights issues on CNN!

Sincerely,
