SOP Vegan Event Prof Francione Oct 2009

 
Greetings!

Remember to join us for our "World Go Vegan Days" Dinner Event in Houston this Saturday, October 10, 2009 when we present Professor Gary L. Francione for an informative lecture on "Animal Rights: The Abolitionist Approach".   Our event begins with the lecture at 6:00 PM, followed by a delicious vegan potluck dinner. 
 
You won't want to miss this lecture!  Professor Francione is a prominent philosopher of animal rights law and ethical theory, known for his abolitionist theory of animal rights, and his promotion of veganism and nonviolence as the baseline principles of the abolitionist movement.  Some of his most popular books will be available for purchase at our event for those who are interested.

*In addition to being our featured speaker this Saturday night, Professor Francione will be the morning keynote speaker at the new Jain Community Center Open House.  Dr. Sulekh Jain and the Houston Jain Community Center invites all Society of PEACE members to register to attend the free Saturday morning festivities & vegan breakfast at the Schiller Road location.
