Dear Society of PEACE Network Members:
Remember to tune in to HBO tonight for the premiere of the new animal rights documentary "Death On A Factory Farm". The film, which was three years in the making, gives viewers an inside look at hog factory farm animal abuses. It includes video obtained by an undercover investigator from national animal rights group The Humane Farming Association (HFA).
HBO provides the following synopsis of the animal rights documentary on their website:
"Each year, ten billion animals are raised for consumption in the U.S., mostly on sprawling, industrialized farms, where virtually no federal laws mandate how the animals are treated - though guidelines exist - and state laws are ineffective. As a result, animals are frequently subjected to what many consider cruel treatment and inhumane conditions in the interest of economic efficiency. DEATH ON A FACTORY FARM chronicles an investigation into alleged abuses that took place at a hog farm in Creston, Ohio."
HBO's "Death On A Factory Farm" will be airing on cable television throughout the month, so check local listings for air dates. For those without HBO, you can also check HULU online for possible replay dates in the future.
For all animals,
