Greetings!
Welcome to the March issue of E-PEACE!
Just five years ago, our organization debuted in Houston! Our very first outreach event was held in March for "Meatout Week 2004". This is a special month for us, as it marks both our five year anniversary and the annual Meatout campaign!
March is also a very active month, with plenty of local, national & international events in honor of "Meatout Week 2009". We hope you'll join us for our March Movie Night & Vegan Bake Sale in Houston . If you live outside the Houston area, there are annual Meatout events taking place around the world. Wherever you may live, you can join the campaign to "change your diet and change the world"!
Animal rights issues continue to be highly visible in the news. Just days ago, The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) aired undercover video from inside primate labs on ABC Nightline. By mid-March, HBO Cable Network will be airing a documentary about the daily terror for animals on factory farms with undercover video from The Humane Farming Association (HFA). As the public becomes more educated about issues concerning animal oppression & exploitation, we hope it inspires more compassion toward all living beings.
As always, we thank you for your continued support, especially as we mark the five year anniversary of our Society of PEACE! Together we are making a difference for the animals, the people and the planet!
