"Promoting PEACE & Compassion for ALL Beings"
    MARCH 2008

Dear Society of PEACE Members & Supporters:

This month, we have some wonderful outreach opportunities as part of our annual MEATOUT campaign. We'll be starting MEATOUT Week 2008 with community service as we team up with Houston's Food Not Bombs to feed vegan meals to Houston's hungry. We'll also have Veg outreach tent & table near City Hall while we hand out literature during a busy lunch hour. Volunteers are needed for these MEATOUT Week events!

We'll also need volunteers to help with our upcoming Earth Day tabling & festivities in April, as well as volunteers who wish to help with our "Houston Art Car Parade" entry in time for the parade in May. We hope you'll join us in our efforts to educate the public about the ethical, environmental and health benefits of a plant-based diet! There are many ways to get involved in outreach and everyone makes a difference!

If you are interested in helping fund our outreach and literature supplies, please contact us. We greatly appreciate your support!

    J Grundner photo MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Highlighting our Members and their inspirational stories

Society of PEACE Member Jennifer Grundner shares a very personal story of how the tragic loss of a loved one inspired her to change her diet and lose over 200 pounds!

Her story begins, "My personal odyssey resulting in my becoming a vegan for the rest of my life began nearly 4 years ago when..." Click Here to read the full story

Jennifer became a Member of Society of PEACE in early 2007 and has since created an outreach organization called Templekeepers in Mineola, Texas where she lives. She now gives presentations in her local community. We are honored to that she shared her amazing story with both Society of PEACE and American Vegan.
