Dear Society of PEACE Activist Network Members:
We are soon approaching the time of year when
several wonderful outreach campaigns overlap and
take place amost back-to-back, especially in the
month of October!
Our
2nd annual "Texas
Veggin'-
out Days" campaign is scheduled again this
year
for October 1 (in honor of World
Vegetarian Day) and October 2
(in honor of World Farm
Animals Day &
Mahatma
Gandhi's Birthday). This is a statewide
campaign designed to both encourage Texans
to 'dine out' and
support their local veggie establishments, and to
bring awareness to WVD & WFAD. We hope
you'll support this upcoming campaign! We
are also very excited to announce that
Vegetarian author & historian Rynn Berry will be
visiting Texas and we are hosting several events in
Houston to coincide with
Vegetarian
Awareness Month (every October).
Rynn will likely be making stops in San Antonio,
Austin, and Dallas after his speaking engagements
and book signing event in Houston. Several
events are still being confirmed, so please check our
online calendar for updates.
And remember, if you have a story you'd like to share,
or a review of your favorite veggie cookbook or
animal rights book, please let
us know. Your story or review could be featured
in a future E-Newsletter!
