WILD KINGDOM OR ANIMAL PLANET?

Greetings from the land of Iguanas, Lizards, Armadillos, Alligators, Snakes, Bobcats, Flying Ants, and so much more!  Yes, this is Florida where the other day, on my daily morning walk, I came up to a baby alligator and immediately wondered where the mamma was hiding.  The gator, come to find out, was dead, but on my walking path nevertheless.

The next morning, with the heat index up, I decided to head out earlier.  This early hour must have been feeding time for the wild creatures.  I noticed a large Bobcat across the street, obviously on the prowl for breakfast.
FREAKED ME OUT!  Needless to say an indoor gym is now my preferred place to workout!
THE SMOOTH MOVE

Everything concerning the actual move down here went smoothly.  Many of you were so instrumental in providing the finances, the physical help, and the PRAYER cover!  We are sending a big cyber hug out right now.  Feel it?

ADJUSTMENTS AND ISOLATION

It is hard to believe that we have been here for a little over a  month.  During this time there have been many adjustments to make.  Our own things are still in storage as our "permanent" home is not yet ready to occupy.  So, moving and not unpacking is a little strange.

Another side effect of moving is that feelings of ISOLATION  were beginning to close in upon us.  We have felt very disconnected from friends and the sweet fellowship we had in West Virginia.  You know the song, "Almost Heaven, West Virginia."....  The Women of the Light ladies, and the couples that we ministered with in the New River Gatherings added so much to us.  It is all part of moving to feel unsettled for a while, this we know all too well.

REVELATION OF BEING SENT

Revelation is a great gift, isn't it?  The other day I realized that Jesus, living on this earth, might have felt very isolated from all He had enjoyed in heaven.  What kept Him going was that He turned His focus firmly to the Father's heart and to the needs of the people to whom he was sent to minister His Father's love. That revelation has given us a new resolve to remind ourselves that the Father has SENT US here for His purposes and He will connect us accordingly.

There has been only one motivation in our life
all of these many years:
To know the Father's will
and to walk in it to the best of our ability!

THE "YES" RESPONSE

So, here we are as we were in West Virginia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Oklahoma, China, Germany, Guatemala, Guyana and Florida many years ago....always willing to go where He sends us, never knowing the why of the journey, just the YES response of our hearts.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

At the Englewood Bible Fellowship Church, our new home church, we are greeting and following up on visitors and handing out the Sunday morning bulletin.  Randy is also caring for the poor and homeless on Saturday mornings as he helps with the Food Pantry outreach.  People come to the church and besides receiving food, they also hear the message of salvation, and have their prayer needs  tended to, often with the result of miraculous healing and deliverance.

REUNITING WITH OUR SON

There have been many years that we have gone without being able to see our children except for short visits now and then. Alex is now within about an 8 hour drive.  He visited us over Memorial weekend and hopes to return the week of July 4th.  I will take the Alligators and the Bobcats(from a distance), for the joy of connecting more with our children, as well as, in time, with the wonderful people here in Englewood and the surrounding area.

FINAL WORDS & GIVING SUGGESTIONS

Now unto the Lord Jesus let us all give thanks and honor.  And, because of Jesus, let us all press in to know the Father's will and to walk in it with greater passion.  His love is so consuming.  Let's be abandoned to His dreams coming true!

Please remember us daily in your prayers as we press in to watch the unfolding of the Father's will for us in this new "Wild and Wonderful" Florida land.  Forgive me West Virginians for borrowing your tag line, but, it really is wild here!

Also, please be diligent to obey the Father's voice in your giving.  Changing addresses often means a time of waiting for people to adjust to our new contact information.  Others tend to think that the financial needs have stopped with the change of locations.  Not so.......

For those of you comfortable with electronic banking and direct deposit please contact us for our new bank routing and account numbers if you would like to set up a direct payment.  As always your gifts are tax deductible.  And better than that-they are seed you are sowing into the Father's vineyard and we water it with faith for a great crop for YOU and for HIS GLORY!
We love you and pray continually that you would personally know and experience the abundant love the Father has for you, His child!  In the grace of the Lord Jesus and the comfort of the Holy Spirit we treasure your friendship.
