What an amazing year we're having! I am filled with joy at how our One Warm Coat "community" continues to grow, and how the many people, organizations and companies who are our friends find unique ways to be involved.
Just this month, companies like Snow Joe and Winster, among others, have started virtual donation "drives" and Brittany Hohn has created a Youtube video to help us spread the word about spreading the warmth. Many of our Agency partners are remembering us in their holiday messages to patrons, too. We truly are a huge, wonderful, giving community, doing our best work together...one coat at a time.

Mom Would be Proud!
 When choosing a dedication for their mother, the Francisco family of Bakersfield (CA) decided to hold a coat drive. In her honor, the family's coat drive idea grew and grew until it included their mother's bakery, a local fire station and Ronald McDonald House! With their partners, they collected and distributed warm coats and clothing items plus toys and baked goods! We agree with son Greg, who summed up the experience and their contribution to their community by saying, "I know my mom would be proud."

Simple Gifts of Love
 It gives us deep pleasure to join our local Agencies for warm coat giveaways. Recently, we were able to distribute warm coats to children in Portland, OR, alongside members of the City Team Ministries staff and volunteers. Coats were made possible by donations from Burlington Coat Factory customers. We were proud to be instrumental in making the connection between these two important partners. Together, they provided the simple gift of a warm coat to hundreds of Portland's children this winter!
