Many exciting things are happening this month! Each day, we hear from more and more of you who are getting organized for early Fall coat drives.
This month we proudly announce two unique new sponsors who have created unusual - and easy - ways to help our cause. And we are we have several more that will be announced in coming months!
With heartfelt thanks,
Sherri |

Another Outstanding Youth: We are proud to count among our friends the many young people of faith whose milestone events inspire them to serve others. When Abigail in Amherst, NY was planning her bat mitzvah service project, she thought of One Warm Coat! This young woman stands on the threshold of adulthood, poised to step into her community with warmth to spare. Abigail's coat drive will benefit the Jewish Family Services Refugee Resettlement Program. We welcome Abigail and her friends and family to the One Warm Coat "family," working together to warm communities one coat at a time.
(Got a tale to tell and some great pics to share? Post them on our Facebook page or send us an email. Email sybil@onewarmcoat.org!) |

Are You Part of the Network?
Randa Noble of the Rockford Rescue Mission in IL recently reminded us that we are part of a nationwide network of caring. She took time out of her day to send us this wonderful note:
"Thank you for your past support. ...We are grateful to once again be partners with the One Warm Coat drive. Hundreds of men, women and children have benefitted from this partnership and the generosity of the residents of Rockford."
Thank YOU, Randa, for thinking of us. We love hearing from our agency friends!

This month brings us TWO sponsors with creative ways to help us spread the warmth!
First, the new children's book Helping Santa: My First Christmas Adventure With Grandma played a big role in connecting Bunker Hill Publishing with us! This delightful book tells of a young boy who works to make a warmer winter for a schoolmate in need. (Guess how!) When the publisher searched for a nonprofit who supports coat donations, they found One Warm Coat! This generous sponsor also decided to share a portion of the book's sales with us. Thanks to this special arrangement, more and more people will learn of the need for warm coats. Thank you, Bunker Hill!
We're also proud to join new sponsor Red Heart Yarn in inviting crafters everywhere to check out their new Heartfelt Scarves for One Warm Coat knit and crochet project. There's no more perfect partner for a warm coat than a cozy, handmade scarf! Crafters are encouraged to create and donate scarves (and their spare warm coats) during coat drives all season. We thank Red Heart Yarn for spreading our message into a new community and helping us warm communities one coat - and now one Heartfelt scarf - at a time!
