What a grand time we've had since we kicked off our efforts last September!  I am in awe of the numbers that I have to share with you:  

  • More than 2,500 coat drive locations across the country  
  • Over 700,000 coats donated   

Our story is about much more than numbers, though. It's about thousands of generous and dedicated people working in small groups in communities throughout the country to bring warmth to those in need. It's about YOU.

 

I continue to be grateful to share this incredibly important work with each and every one of you. Thank you!

Robinson Girl

"The response was overwhelming!"

 That's what Denise S. said about Robinson Engineering's coat drive. This year, the company's wellness program focused on social health. The result? Their very first coat drive!  Employees, families and friends across 6 offices pitched in.

 

Denise says it was their way to "give back" to the communities they serve. In the end, the grand total of coats collected surpassed their hopes by almost 5 times! See this sweet little person in her new coat? As Denise says, "Her smile... made our efforts all worthwhile." Outstanding!

Heart Compassion 2011 Heart of Compassion, based in  CA's San Gabriel valley, is "dedicated to demonstrating love... through the distribution of life essentials for the total person." As we work with HOC to help them connect with coat drive organizers and distribute warm coats to their guests, we continue to be amazed at their network of supportive volunteers!

Each month on their Community Days, between 100 and 500 volunteers work together to distribute food, clothing and other essentials to the thousands of needy families who attend. We are very proud to be part of their efforts at Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope.

Warm Coats Warm Hearts 2011Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Buttons Up a Fabulous 4th Season!  

The final count is in! Our Warm Coats & Warm Hearts partners Burlington Coat Factory and Good Morning America join with us to share the FANTASTIC FINAL COUNT of coats collected...(...drum roll, please...)... 219, 874 COATS!

 

It was a fabulous fourth season, warmed by hot celebrities and family favorites from kickoff through closing. (Mickey and Minnie even brought kids' coats and joined in the fun!) As we "button up" this year's national coat drive, we thank you, Burlington Coat Factory and Good Morning America, for making this the best year yet! Many, many thousands of children, women and men now have a warm coat to call their own! (And thousands more are aware of the need.)
