Our goal is to provide any person in need with a warm coat, free of charge.

Providing this simple, yet vital, need helps people live productive lives year round.

One Warm Coat helps local organizations collect and distribute coats in their own community.

WHAT A YEAR!

What an amazing year! The East Coast had record highs in December -- we almost wondered if there was a NEED for a warm coat. Now that Spring has sprung, snow has been falling in many parts of the country.

One Warm Coat continues to warm the hearts of many. Heartfelt thanks to the HUNDREDS of volunteer Organizers who hosted over 1000 coat drives in 42 states -- resulting in more than 200,000 coats going to people in need.

More good news -- we're now an INTERNATIONAL project with One Warm Coat drives organized this past year in Canada and Germany.

KIDS WHO CARE

Children -- thru their schools, clubs, or all by themselves -- have created unique drives for their communities. Just a few stories about some great kids:

Kyra, an 8-year old from New York, added One Warm Coat to her birthday party celebration.

St. Monica Kids Care in Moraga, California put hand-written notes with their coats.

Girl Scouts in Hudson, Massachusetts combined their coat drive with their holiday variety show. A donated coat was the entrance fee.

TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

Be on the lookout for our annual Survey of Organizers. This is a chance to tell us what worked and any ideas that we should incorporate for this coming year.

mini NOW THIS WAS A COAT "DRIVE"!

When the first coat DRIVE from an auto dealer came thru, we thought it was a clever play on words. Then more coat DRIVES appeared.

Dealerships seems to be a good location -- lots of show room space to collect coats. See if your favorite auto, rec vehicle or motorcycle dealer would host a coat DRIVE for next year. Thanks to MINI of Mountain View, CA for sharing this picture.
