Ming Wu

"Bumps Ahead" are the signs
I see when I drive around town.

Living in the moment, we are connected to the Universe; trust that life is good and we experience the joy of being alive.

My road sign is "Enjoying the Moment".

Enjoy the summer dew.
For 10 minutes every morning, go outside and perform the, Tai Chi Walk* barefooted. The "walk" is a moving meditation and the dew on your feet strengthens your connection to the Earth (remember that water is a powerful conductor). The energy of the morning, as Yin escalates into the active state of Yang, is a powerful, centering and healing time of the day.

Some of the side benefits of this daily practice are:
  • physical and emotional balance
  • strengthening your body
  • lowering blood pressure
  • experiencing being in your body and the moment
* Tai Chi walk is demonstrated by Dr. Ming Wu in this online video.
A Note About Tea and the Summer Heat
flower

"Tea tempers the spirits,
calms, and harmonizes the mind;
it arouses thought and prevents drowsiness,
lightens and refreshes the body
and cleans the perceptive faculties."

Lu Yu, The Book of Tea
   (published China 800 AD)

It's summer, the hottest, most Yang time of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Five Elements seasonal cycle. It's the time of year that one can create an imbalance by getting over-heated and getting too cool too quickly.

Too much cooling, such as very cold drinks, cold salads and iced products, can cause a "cold" stomach affecting digestion and Lung Chi. Balanced digestion and Lung Chi are integral to a healthy immune system.

Green tea is known for its anti-oxidant properties, which help maintain good health and enhance immune functions. After using tealeaves as medicinal herbs, the Chinese began to brew them, making a "cup a day to keep out of medication".

Dr. Wu believes in the many benefits of tea, and as the seasons shift, so do his recommendations for the perfect tea.

With this in mind, we are offering Chamomile Green Tea, a perfect summer tea, as our July Product Special.
