Greetings! |
|
The CERC Conference Planning Committee recently announced that keynote speaker Leonard Brody, a two-time Emmy nominated entrepreneur, will open this year's conference. Mr. Brody will enlighten us about how technology and social media have changed our workplaces, how we communicate as people and what this means for our industry. Plan to attend CERC's conference September 19 -21 in Montréal, QC.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has informed CERC that next steps on the Regulatory Amendments to Temporary Foreign Worker Program regulations will be announced in June. CIC also advised that that implementation of the Regulations will not take place until early 2011 as they are continuing to define the Operational Guidelines. If you have an interesting story or an article to share in the E-News please contact us.
I look forward to seeing you at a CERC event soon.

These consultations will look at worker shortages in trades and professions across Canada as well as the factors that affect an immigrant's ability to succeed in Canada's work force. CERC will be gathering input from members before the April 16th deadline.

Networking for success
|
Simply collecting business cards and attending events may expand your number of contacts, but does not increase the likelihood that those contacts will benefit you in the future. To reap the benefits of networking when you need them, you must know how to make your network work for you, and how you can work for your network.
