Focus on China: Marketing Data Management Strategies

Over the past several decades China has shifted
its economy from a centrally planned system to
a more market-oriented system with a rapidly
growing private sector. China is now a major
player in the Global Economy. Due to its
population size, its increasing tendency towards
free trade, and the growth rate of its economy,
China represents a significant potential market
for many consumer and business-to-business
marketers.
However, there are also a number of significant
challenges to reaching the Chinese market,
including language and cultural challenges as
well as China’s developing infrastructure. In
addition, complex encoding issues related to the
storage of Chinese text on computer systems
can create challenges in maintaining and
analyzing marketing data. In this white paper we
discuss a number of these challenges, and
describe some specific techniques to overcoming
these issues. In particular we present specific
tools and techniques that can be used to assess
and improve the management of Chinese data
as part of a global marketing campaign.

direct marketers experience upon entering global
markets. Why? Media opportunities differ, as do
regulatory environments. Then there are the
sometimes-vast chasms between the data
available abroad versus what comes standard in
the U.S.

Product Innovation: News to Address the Global Commerce Demand for 24x7x365 Responsiveness

"Now in their seventh year, the IDMF/DM
Business New Product awards recognise
innovative products and services in the
marketing arena. By addressing a key marketing
need - international online address
standardisation - our judges found that Global-Z
had developed a service that is both highly
necessary and likely to be valued by the most
forward thinking international marketers."
- Frank Wainwright
Publishing Editor
DM Business
Business often demands access to resources on
an as-needed, immediate basis. Global
commerce demands 24x7x365 responsiveness.
This demand was the genesis of Global-Z's
award winning Online Global Address
Standardization service.
