RISE AND SHINE!

What is going on here?  It looks as though the gentleman has grabbed on to the green machine and is pulling himself up to a standing position.  It sure looks that way.

He truly is rising from the bed to a standing position but not by his own hands.  His hands are on the machine because, well, they have to be somewhere but it is the machine with the vest around his chest that is raising him from a sitting to a  standing position.  The machine is on wheels and once he is standing the young lady will have an easy time moving him to a chair, sofa, commode or wheel chair.  You have probably already guessed that this machine is called a “sit to stand” lift.

It is battery operated and is an easy way for a care giver to move an individual that can stand but can not walk.  BUT, perhaps more importantly the “sit to stand” lift can provide a person suffering from a stroke, accident trauma or debilitating disease the means for weight bearing exercise to strengthen muscle, bone, and to stimulate the circulatory system.

Best of all it is a Liko Home Care product and can be used in the privacy and comfort of ones own home.
