DO YOU THINK A SMALL CHILD WITH A CRIPPLING DISEASE CAN LEARN TO DANCE?

THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS YES!

The lifting and transferring of children is not the same as lifting and transferring small adults.  Children have special needs and therefore require the attention of caregivers with special knowledge and skills.  At Accessibility Services, Inc. we are supported by decades of experience working with children.  Our Liko lift and transfer products include lifting accessories designed especially for children.  The Teddy Vest, pictured above, adapts to the child’s physique, lifting around the upper body just enough to allow the child to stand and support his/her weight, according to his/her capability.  There are many other designs and materials available to provide for a child’s special needs.

Using the Teddy Vest together with a Liko track lift supporting most of their weight young children with disabilities can enjoy walking, hopping, and even learning to dance.
