Mr Michael Patrick has
officially turned 40 on 10/1 but still enjoys being the
youngest Hillbilly in the band! Thanks for all the well-
wishes!
In other news The Suburban Hillbillies
were once again nominated for an AMA (Asbury Music
Award) in the Category of "Top Americana Band."
New Bass player "Mike Rosenow" has been doing
a great job.. and yes that does mean 3 Mikes now!
Yikes :)
We have just added some great new shows to our
schedule including our return to the Starland Ballroom
with Marshall Tucker on 12/1, and a special Cash B-
day Bash at the one and only "BB KINGS in NYC!

We have got quite a few exciting things happening
with the band we wanted to let you know about.
WE ARE GOING ON TOUR!
On Oct. 31st we will be heading to Starkville,
Mississippi with Stops in Nashville and
Memphis, TN for our first tour outside the tri-state area.
The "Ring Of Fire band was chosen to be part of the
festivities on Nov 3rd in Starkville, MS to help Pardon
Johnny Cash for his crime in 1965 of public
drunkeness / pickin flowers after his concert at MS
University. (you may remember this from the "Walk the
Line" movie?)
It is appropriately called:
The Johnny Cash Flower Pickin' Festival!

We will have the distinct honor of opening for
Marty
Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives in
addition to Johnny's other long time band mate and
performer in his own right "Jimmy Tittle" (Jimmy is
Kathy Cash's Husband which makes him Johnnys
Son-in-law)
In addition, there will be other members of the "Cash
Family" at the event including Johnny's sister Joanne
and we will be sharing the VIP Hotel with them. How
cool is that!!!
Cash sang about his run-in with the Starkville
authorities on his album, "At San Quentin (The
Complete Live Concert)," recorded in 1969. After
performing at Mississippi State University in 1965,
Starkville
police arrested Cash for public drunk and took him to
the Oktibbeha County Jail, referred to as the Starkville
City Jail in Cash's song. His version of the story said
police arrested him for "pickin' flowers." A few years
after the altercation, Cash returned to Starkville and
gave local authorities free tickets to his performance
to show he had "no hard feelings."
Of the seven times Cash was arrested, he only wrote
about one-Starkville.
We are looking forward to this exciting concert and will
