What happened to January? It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming you all in to the new year... inviting you to celebrate with us the launch of new, key programs for 2010. And here we are already in February!
However, from what we've observed at the Center, our community is already thinking about preparation for Spring and Summer trips, camps, training, and educational opportunities. With that in mind, this month's eNews will help you prepare for your educational and training opportunities ahead.
Read on to learn more about new, free educational materials on the Leave No Trace website, updated materials for sale in the online store, learn about opportunities for volunteering in 2010, and even consider taking a Trainer Course. Need some inspiration? Read this month's "Road Wisdom" to see how our traveling teams make education and outreach exciting, every day.
While you're filling your head with Leave No Trace wisdom, don't forget to keep things fun and exciting. The Bigfoot Challenge is off to a great start this year, and you can participate each month in new challenges to Leave No Trace. Also, we're on the lookout for our first Leave No Trace Hot Spot to bring a little extra minimum-impact education to a place you love. Check it out at the right.
There's no shortage of ways to get involved this year, but the best advice we can give: Leave No Trace in your own unique way. Leave No Trace is successful because it's a program about people and what we can do to conserve the places we love... We're honored to have such a diverse, passionate community of advocates.
