| Greetings! |
 We're baaack!
Well, it's been almost a year since our last TWM eNewsletter and regularly scheduled events - we thank you for your patience over that time as we took care of some much needed behind the scenes work. We're now excited to offer a new and improved TWM and look forward to a year that we hope will prove to be our best yet!
Seven years ago I had the idea to bring women of diverse backgrounds together to be inspired by and learn from one another - to make new connections and interact in ways they normally wouldn't have the opportunity to do so. My goal was to create experiences that help unite and empower women in order make their lives, and the world, better and richer in every way.
On Chinese New Year, Jan. 24, 2001, thirty women came together at Tapei Noodle House to learn about and celebrate and the Year of the Snake - eating traditional foods and participating in the formation of a new concept in women's organizations.

Since that initial gathering - with the help of fabulous volunteers, interns and donors along the way - The Women's Mosaic� has grown in its scope and mission, and has offered over 80 unique opportunities for over 2000 women to learn more about themselves and the world around them - just see our Past Events page for a retrospective!
It with great significance then, that tomorrow night we will celebrate this anniversary on the exact same date in the exact same place - Tapei Noodle House is now Mantra 986 - as when we began seven years ago!
We hope you can join us there, and if not, we certainly hope you will continue to take this journey with us and enjoy our educational, inspirational and motivational programs and communications throughout this year and beyond!

What I like most about hearing Kristina speak is her real down-to-earth quality. She is a normal person, much like me, with fabulous thoughts and ideas and the generosity and courage to share those ideas with others.  MY LIFE AS A FEMALE SOLDIER IN IRAQ
Tuesday, March 11th 6:30-9pm
As we celebrate Women's History Month and approach the fifth anniversary of the War in Iraq, listen to a diverse panel of women who have had firsthand experience in the military or have been directly affected by this ongoing conflict.
Get an inside look at the military culture from a female perspective, exploring the issues that these women have had to deal with abroad, and how they have been able to integrate and re-adjust back to their life at home. Moderated by former ABC/CNN Reporter and Court TV Anchor Adaora Udoji, this event is sure to be engaging and thought-provoking and will give a voice to women who have served our country with honor.
