Wish List
As the programs at Faith continue to evolve, our space needs also change. The church is seeking 4 or 5 clean,
gently-used couches for program rooms. In addition, we could use several nice, used coffee tables.
Please contact the office if you have items for donation so that we can determine if they could be a good fit for the space needs of the community.
Thank you.

Severe Weather Shelter Update
As you know, Faith is the site for the men's Severe Weather Shelter through The Interfaith Coalition. The shelter opened for several days during the recent cold spell before Thanksgiving. When the shelter opens, some changes in program and building use occur due to the emergent circumstances. The good news is that over 60 men were kept in from the cold during the last opening. We are grateful for our guests and we continue to pray for their safety.

Pastoral Note
By Pastor Sharon Swanson

John Henry Newman wrote: They watch for Christ who are sensitive, eager, apprehensive in mind, who are awake, alive, quick-sighted, zealous in honoring him, who look for him in all that happens, and who would not be surprised, who would not be agitated or overwhelmed, if they found that he was coming at once.....
This then is to watch:
to be detached from what is present, and
to live in what is unseen;
to live in the thought of Christ as he came once,
and as he will come again;
to desire his second coming, from our affectionate and grateful remembrance
of his first.
Brothers and sisters, in this Advent season let us watch and wait and act in grateful remembrance.
God's peace to you in this season of anticipation and hope
Sharon
