Concierge in Umbria
See you in November

CIU travelers enjoyed a variety of private experiences on the Italian peninsula and Italian islands from May through September: market visits and cooking experiences with local people, truffle hunting with dogs, exclusive vineyard visits, hiking volcanoes (dormant and active!), behind the scenes private tours of Italy's most important museums, artisanal chocolate making, home dinners with Italian families and - well, we should stop, we could go on and on.

October is a big month for Italian travel, and at this point, the most desired accommodations are pretty much full.  But what about November?

The air blows cooler, the days grow shorter, and the beach and lake hotels are shuttering for the winter,  but don't despair! There are still great reasons to make Italy part of your travel plans before year end.

Food and wine trips are fantastic among the backdrop of harvests and fall colors.

Mild temperatures, fewer tourists and off season pricing make November a great month to really delve into must-see Italian destinations.

The great monuments and artistic treasures are less crowded and, best of all, off season pricing coupled with a falling Euro have created good value at the end of the Bella Stagione (beautiful season).  Contact us now to take advantage of November in Italy!

Even if you can't make it this year and are considering 2012, let us hear from you  soon. If this year is any indication (and despite U.S. economic reports, all signs point to a busy 2012 for Italian travel!) the best boutique hotels will book up quickly. Let us in on your Italian travel wish list and we'll work to make your dream a reality.

Italy is a great place to celebrate a big family milestone, or just get everybody together in one place for a week or two of downtime.  We have been assisting a number of travelers with villa bookings to accommodate 4 - 20 people, from 8 months to 80 years of age.  Basing yourself in a villa is a great way to enjoy some leisure time with the family, interspersed with day trips to visit historic hill towns, vineyards, and participate in cooking class.  Contact us to find out more!
