Thanks to the eye black of Denver Bronco's quarterback Tim Tebow, some key Bible references are getting more attention than ever before. When Tim wrote his first Bible reference on his eye black at the University of Florida, he probably had little idea he'd launch a national trend, let alone a national controversy about the public display of personal faith. But this controversy is nothing new. It's what fueled one of the apostle Paul's most famous declarations (you'll see it in the TRY THIS Bible study). So, let's give these references more than attention. Let's see what they say and let the truth of these verses be seen through our lives.

3. TRY THIS: "Get Your Eye Black On!" Devo/Bible Study

If you're not a sports fan, there's a good chance you've never heard of "eye black." Or at least not until Tim Tebow made it famous by using it to display Bible references. Use this exercise as an opportunity for your teens to allow these Bible verses to be more than a reference seen on a quarterback's face, but a truth that people see in their lives.
