We knew the timing of the February issue of InWord Online wouldn't land conveniently for Valentine's Day use. (You DO have your discipleship/teaching mapped out through February 14 don't you?) So we're going with the next best, a Valentine's Day follow up. Which, when you think about it, is a picture of the Christian journey: a lifelong reaction to the love God has shown us. You might also title this issue "everything you can do with 1 John 4:11-12"--read about it, teach it, memorize it.

FromBarry1. From Barry:  Reacting to Love in All the Right Ways

TryThis2. Try This: A Valentine's Day Debrief

We've all had Valentine's Day fallout at some point in our lives: a crush realized, a crush crushed, etc. Use your students' after-Valentine's Day glow (or burn) as a springboard to explore a Scripture passage on how believers are to react to the love of God. This brief exercise can be used in a number of ways:

      as a devotional for a retreat/activity;

      as a teaching experience in your big group setting;

      as a standalone Bible study;

      as a personal mini-retreat for yourself.
