St.Pete Bike n' Eat | May 12th, 2012
 |
| Last year at the Taco Bus |
Last year the St.Pete Bike n' Eat's inaugural ride attracted 100 riders who rode with us to 6 locally owned restaurants. Everyone got to taste food from each location and had a great time. This year we will visit 5 new restaurants and then end with a party at our store. This year's restaurants include:
Casita Taqueria, Meze 119, Cassis American Brasserie, Parkshore Grill, and Westshore Pizza (our fantastic neighbors). See pictures from last year's event at our Flickr Site.
Bicycle Stores Close | What does that mean for us?
Since 2000, there are 30% less bike shops in the United States. Video games, the internet, and other trends in retail have had a direct effect on this. Two stores in St. Pete have closed this year. You depend on us to provide excellent customer service in an ever changing retail environment. Our customers demand a high class of product and service. Bicycle stores who have neither changed with this new retail environment, nor met these expectations have closed. We believe that luck in this business is when opportunity meets preparedness. Just know that we are a strong retailer and have taken many steps to ensure that we will be here for a very long time.
We apologize for any inconvenience you experience with us as our number of customers increases. We are hiring new people to keep up with the increase in demand and we are sorry for any delays as we grow.
Pilates for Pain Free Sports Performance | March 6th
Dr. Scott Rubin of the Rubin Health Center is offering a series of Free Pilates classes once a month starting on February 7th at 6 pm. Pilates is a great cross training exercise that can keep you stronger on the bike and more comfortable. The class is free . Just bring a mat and a towel. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk, capable of creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. (Yeah, we know - who doesn't want that?) It is a safe, sensible exercise system that will help you look and feel your very best. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates also improves flexibility, agility and strength in motion. It can even help alleviate back pain. The next class will be April 3rd.

Red Shield | Wear and Tear
Even
the best products can wear out. When they do repairs can
be costly. Trek's Red Shield Wear and Tear program covers repairs including parts and labor for either 3 or 5 years from the date of purchase of your bike. Most major components are repaired or replaced for free with no deductible or hidden expenses. Get peace of mind.
