September Newsletter

I went mountain biking for the first time ever at the bike demo at Trek World. It was a magical experience. My cycling started with a road bike (which I love) and this was so different from that. Rick, Lila, and myself moved through the hard packed trails in the woods. We dodged rocks and trees, rode up the inclines and floated down the descents. Being with such great friends and experiencing something so pure...well I will never forget it. From the greenery of the woods to the flow of weaving through the trails, it was spiritual.

My next bike will definitely be a mountain bike.

Out riding with you all,

Anne

Trek World | Model Year 2012Trek Logo in Waterloo Office

Our trip to Madison, WI and the Trek World 2012 was nothing short of amazing. From 8 am to past midnight everyday, we learned about new Trek products, programs, and heard speakers on subjects from continuous improvement to advocacy. It was a big show - we got to peak at all the new colors, bikes, and accessories from Trek. We have new ideas and new products arriving in the next couple weeks. Some of my favorites were the "Funk Trunk" that allows you to play your mp3 player through some speakers in a trunk bag as you ride, and of course the new bicycles. From new bar tapes to test rides it was truly a wonderful experience. See some pictures here.

Allen | More Friendly FacesAllen H

My name is Allen Hinkle. I recently moved to Tampa from Nashville, TN where I first learned how to work on bikes. I am excited to get the opportunity to work for a shop again. I am very enthusiastic and want you to be just as happy on 2 wheels as I am. I plan to study architecture in St. Petersburg and continue that study at USF once I get situated in Tampa. I love riding trails; mountain biking is my hobby. I have heard great things about Flatwoods park and plan to make it up there for some trail riding. Hope to see you around the shop.
