If you listen closely you may hear the LDT staff and dancers whispering "we made it through March!" in the hallway. Five company performances, including educational performances in Piscataway and Westfield, three performances in one day for Dance Appreciation classes at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers, one FUN FRIDAY featuring the LDT Ensemble followed by a St. Patrick's Day party, the start of a 7-week educational residency in Piscataway, and two community performances by the LDT Ensemble...whew!
We are particularly excited to see our educational programming really beginning to take-off. The LDT Ensemble, in-school assemblies, and the residency in the Piscataway elementary schools, are keeping us connected to the community. The "thank you" cards we received from several classes of second graders who experienced an LDT performance are a fun reminder of the importance of dance education and the value of introducing children to live performance.

Stay tuned for some exciting changes to the LDT website, including a dancer and faculty blog with great information and inspiration for aspiring dancers and dance lovers alike. And make sure to take a look at some of the amazing photographs taken by Ron Lessard on our Facebook page! |
